Am I correct that gun hunting for deer will not be allowed this last weekend of January for both Zone A and Zone B of Black Warrior WMA?

BTW, I am not interested in going hunting this weekend.  I just want to avoid any area where hunters might be shooting.

The WMA guide for Alabama (above) appears to suggest there is no deer hunting this weekend, just small game. However, it is really hard to read on this tiny screen I'm using. Double check.

Correct, hunting legal only on private land this weekend and that will end on the 31st.

So go out there and hunt and fish and mess around.  Ramble out yonder, explore the forests, encounter the grizz, climb the mountains, bag the peaks, run the rivers, breathe deep of that yet sweet and lucid air. Sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, that lovely, mysterious and awesome space.  I promise you this one sweet victory, over those deskbound people with their hearts in a safe deposit box and their eyes hypnotized by calculators. : you will outlive the bastards." FYI Hog hunting is allowed in the WMA when ever there is a legal hunt (turkey small game ect.) as long as you use the firearms allowed for that hunt.
And there is no closed season for ferrell hogs in the rest of the bankhead forrest. (all year)
