Can somebody fill me in on the timing of wildflowers in Sipsey, particularly along Borden creek?

Around the 1st of March, hepatica and dogtooth violets start.  When they peak is determined by the local weather.  I've found Easter Weekend seems to be the best for over all flowers, usually around the last of March, first of April.  By April 15th it is over.  Maybe a few stragglers.  Flint Creek Rec area is great for Flowers, so is Indian Tombs Hollow.  I've always missed Borden Creek's show, but there has been lots of rooting by wild pigs there, don't know what to expect.

Other good spots for wildfowers Hurricane Creek Park Cullman,  Caney Creek Park in Tuscumbia  GREAT rock gardens!

I really just need to take a month off work to get in it!

Thanks!

That actually times out really well, because it gives me plenty of clearance for the dogwoods in GSMNP.

Suz,

I don't have a map handy at the moment... Where is Indian Tombs Hollow?

Suz,

I can't find any information on either Indian Springs Hollow or the Flint Botanical Area? Are these on federal property?

Suz,

I found Indian Springs Hollow on my Cart-o-craft. Still can't find anythign about the botanical area.

One question... What in the world brought you out to that area in the forest? That is way out of the way!
