If you've never visited the center, it's worth the trip.  The elevated boardwalk section is rather neat as well.  Check out Peavine Falls while you're at Oak Mtn. SP too.

I agree Sam, if you're anywhere near the area you should check it out.  Oak Mtn SP itself is a treasure in place consumed by urban sprawl.  Having grown up in the B'ham area, I did my first backpacking trips there years ago. I think I've walked every trail there. Once I hiked Double Oak Mtn from Peavine to The Narrows on Old 280.
