Greetings:  Here's a photograph of a tree that my friend George took about 10 years ago along a section of the Pinhoti Trail.  Has anyone else seen this tree before?  We went looking for it a couple of times but had no luck.  The nature of the message makes it's still being around doubtful.

No, I haven't seen that one. Here is one that's near the Pinhoti, off of a side trail.

It's in The Dugger Wilderness Area, up one of the hollows off of Jones Branch Road. Sorry I can't be more specific, I don't remember which one Huh? I'll have to ask the boys when they get back in town. Wink

I've seen it but it is not on the Pinhoti.  It is on a side trail south of High Point TH.  I can't tell you excatly how to find it because I had lost the Pinhoti at the time.  I backtracked to the Pinhoti.  I've been down that section of the Pinhoti  several times since but not noticed the trail I took to get lost.  The side trail would be on the west side of the Pinhoti and within 5 miles of High Point TH.  It is an interesting carving.  The man having carved it has a real anger problem.

Near the communication tower?  The person carving it probably had good reason to be angry.
