trail 207 split ?
«

Someone please help me understand how I went up (north) 207 one way and came back another.
I crossed Braziel on a log jam upstream from Borden, bushwacked until I found 207. It was easy to follow and I enjoyed the small waterfalls and shelters on the side drainages. The trail went up and I was on top of the bluff line, nice view, then down pretty steep. I continued to the end and because there was a storm coming decided the quickest thing would be to go back the way I came. When it started raining I put my poncho on and started walking as fast as I could. Maybe my poncho blocked my side vision but I never went up to the bluff line. Is there a split in the trail to go up to the
top of the bluffs ? Also I missed my crossing I was going downstream and all of a sudden the creek was flowing the other direction. Luckily I knew where I was and turned around and went back down Borden to Braziel since my feet we soaked by now I just waded across Braziel and out to the bridge.
So if someone knows what I mean is there a landmark or coordinates for this split ?

I think I understand your description. I know the log jam you reference north of Borden Creek. It sounds like you left TR207 and ended up on Narrows Ridge. TR207 runs along side Braziel Creek, but never along a ridge. Narrows Ridge is Is slightly to the east of TR207 and is all ridge. Most people access Narrows by fording Braziel about a quarter mile after the log jam you mention and head up the hill there. On the norhtern end Narrows Ridge comes out at Gum Pond TH and TR207 intersects TR208 Northwest Road.
