Hey guys!  This trail is not part of the Pinhoti but I could not find another place to put it.
Cherokee Ridge is located below Alexander City by Martin Dam.  Today we went down to hike around.  This was our second time to go.  This trail is very interesting.  The trails take you over hills and through lowland.  One section takes you right beside the river for about a mile or so.  The views are beautiful.  There are picnic tables at the parking area and a grand view of the river.  There are places along the trail to stop and rest and enjoy the sights.  I just wanted to pass this info on.  If you are down that way, check it out!

There is a website:  http://www.crata.org

I think it is a day use only trail.  There are several small loops you can do or if you want to do the whole thing I believe it is 7 miles.  The trail is very interesting and diverse.  For those hikers who like a little more challenge, there is another trail a bit down the road called The Deadening.  It's a trail along cliffs and bluffs.  The website can give you lots of info.
