I took a visiting friend to see some of the forest yesterday and found a lot of the western side of the forest smoldering from fires I guess were on Tuesday.
Does anyone know if this was a wildfire or a planned burn.
I couldn't believe how much it changed things on Mt. Olive road I was looking for a small shelter and almost missed because all I could see was black burned trees.

It is a planned burn. The Forrest Service is behind on their burning schedule. They have been burning almost every day for the last week and a half.
