Does anyone have the GPS coords to "kennys camp"  at mile 46.1?   Im planning a hike from bulls gap to porters gap later this spring---not worried about finding a campsite, but water is a concern.  The trail guide mentions a creek running next to kennys camp, but i noticed somewhere on this  site, somepeople have problems finding the campsite.  Is there anyother places between wormies pulpet and bull gap that have water?   Also, is the road to the bull gap trailhead suitable for cars?  Any car vandalism?   Thanks for the info! Hey Stevebo,  My husband and I hiked this section last fall and totally enjoyed it.  The Bulls Gap TH has a small parking lot.  We have not had any problems parking there.  We missed Kenny's Camp and tried to find it but could not. We went on to Mile12 and theres a small camp spot up on the right side of the trail.  There was no water between Bulls Gap and Wormy's Pulpit.  The only water we found was at Scotts Lake.  My husband drove to Wormys Pulpit the day before and stashed water where the trail crosses FS 600 from Wormys to the Communication Towers.  This is one of my favorite sections because of the spectacular views along the way.  Enjoy your hike!!!!

Steve, in the Section 4 Trail Description they mention a water source somewhere, downhill a bit from the trail.  When I hiked this section, it was about a week after the big snowstorm a couple of months ago. So I was able to suppliment  my water by using icefall from the trees. I was looking for Kenny's Camp also. It was getting dark as I arrived, so I camped just off the trail. It was a large relatively flat area on the east side of the trail. From the map, it looks like you might find water down in one of the draws on either side of the ridge.

@Stevebo: Kenny's Camp looks to me to be a private hunters club. It is enclosed in a chain link fence. I don't have the coords, but I don't think it would be of any use to you. Bulls Gap has a small parking area to the left of the TH. I parked there and had no trouble, but I have also heard of others having trouble. Here's another good map that shows a few water sources: Map
