Pinhoti Trailhead Shuttle now offers service to all Alabama Pinhoti Trailheads.

Consider us as the friend you would ask to either drop you off
or pick you up at the trailhead as you start or finish your hike.

Hey Bob, I was going to post for you tonight and you beat me to it. I know there will be some request your services on here. There has been some concern from time to time about leaving our vehicles at various locations and them getting damaged. Since you live in close proximity to the Pinhoti, do you have any secure parking available for trail folks.

Yes, I have plenty of safe outdoor parking.
I have carport space for 2 vehicles  for thru or multi-section hikers.

Hey Bob,

Thanks again for the ride back in March.  You picked up my friend, my dog and myself from Cheaha State Park and gave us ride back to Porter's Gap.  We really appreciated the extra service of driving us through Guntertown.  I look forward to using your service again in July.

thanks so much,
Aubry

Thanks Aubry,
I read your post about the thru hike in late July and if I can be of any assistance to you, let me know.
You can give Mabel a treat for me.

Blisterbob has my vote!  He changed his schedule to pick me up after I arrived early.

He's a big help, beats an out and back!

Bob,

Thanks for helping me and my son out this past week. We had a great hike and look forward to seeing you this fall! Hopefully by then there will be less ticks, never saw so many in my life. Your knowledge of the trail & conditions really helped, but I can't believe how bad horseblock mountain was.

Thanks for the ride from FS 500 back to Cheaha. You really saved us a lot of hassle not having to take another car and I thoroughly enjoyed swapping stories with you durring the ride. The little surprise you brought really made the trip memorable though, was very generous, and extremely appreciated. Can't thank you enough!!! You provide a great service that really does enhance all that the PT has to offer. Good luck, God Bless, and I hope  to see you again as soon as I can get back out there for some more hiking!

I would just like to echo all the good comments above concerning BlisterBob's shuttle service. My son and I used him for the first time this past weekend and I must say it was excellent. It saved us (especially my wife) a lot of effort and gas. Thanks again Bob.

If you're even remotely considering using someone to shuttle you, give BlisterBob a call.

33.402223 -85.876302 (UTM: 16S  0604495m E  3696443m N)

Don't know of a physical address but it is the intersection of Adams Gap road and 281 or Talladega Scenic Hwy

Can anyone give me the physical address of Adams gap Trail Head.

Also, I don't know of a physical address other than;
the intersection of Clay County Blue Ridge Rd. and State Rd. 281 (Skyway Motorway)
Blue ridge Rd. can be accessed from Clay County Rd. 12 Which intersects County Rd. 31 north of Ashland.

Thanks for the ride this weekend, Bob.  You saved us a lot of time and effort by shuttling us to our starting point.
Also, thanks for clearing the blowdowns on the Rock Garden section, we walked through with no problem.

Hey blisterbob -  We had a great time these past few days of hiking and you added a lot to that by dropping us off and picking us up. I cant tell you how good it felt when we were walking up to the 231 trailhead and I realized that was you there waiting for us. Thank you - we really appreciated keeping the car at your place.  I am not sure that I thanked you for the cookies, but I really enjoyed them along the way. It was a real pleasure meeting you and look forward to walking the rest of the Alabama Pinhoti.

Squidbilly - It was a pleasure meeting you and your son at the rock garden too.

KenDen, it was nice talking to you too. I'm glad y'all had a good hike.

Thanks for reminding me:  I forgot to thank ShadowSue for the trail treats. So thank you Sue, the cookies are a nice treat
on the trail.

You usually meet only a handful of hikers, or none at all, on the Pinhoti.  We didn't realize they were running the Cheaha 50K this weekend, so we counted exactly 200 runners and hikers, and 2 dogs on section 5 alone.

I'll bet that was weird to see that many folks on the trail in one day.

I did not count them, but I know there was that many or more on the 5 miles of
the Alum Cave Trail from Mt. Le Conte to US 441 on a MONDAY in Nov. 10.
I didn't see near that many on the AT sections in the Smokies.
It looked like a black bear smorgasbord.
