I spent 5 days in the Sipsey from March 29 - April 2. I put my hike on Trail Journals. If you want to see it, the link is
http://www.trailjournals....entry.cfm?trailname=12084 . As of 4/22, I haven't complete labelling the pictures, but I will get to it. If I get anything wrong, please let me know. It was my first trip to the Sipsey and I was awed. I don't want any inaccuracies in the journal.
I didn't have the right batteries for my camera for the 1st 2 days, so I missed pictures of Wildflowers on the 206 Thompson Creek trail, the 209 Sipsey River Trail, the unofficial West Borden Creek Trail, and the 208 Northwest Trail, my first 2 day's loop. I had it for my 3rd day, but I couldn't get it out in time to take a picture of the herd of wild pigs that I saw on the 210 Mitchell Ridge Trail. I was nervous, but excited when I saw my first wild pig and then 3 more adults and about 6 shoats came into view as they headed away from me. I'm glad they were more scared of me than I was of them. There was no tree to climb or any other place to go. 3rd day was Gum Pond TH 208 to 210 to 224 to 208 back to the Trailhead. 4th day was Borden TH 207 to FS road 208 to the OLD 203, back to FS Road 208 to the NEW 203, 203 to Borden Trailhead. The 5th day was the 200 Borden Creek Trail from Borden TH to the Sipsey TH and back.
Who knew that there were so many waterfalls in such a small area.
