Pinhoti Challenge Hike Series

I was just telling a friend about Jaybird, and how we all enjoyed his Pinhoti Challenge Hikes. I was wondering if there was anyone willing to continue his legacy with the challenge hikes. I would do it if it were not for working 100 hours/week at 2 jobs. Nevertheless, they were enjoyable and will be missed.

How about a Jay Hudson Memorial Challenge hike?

Jay did finish the whole trial with his hikes didn't he?   Might be good to wait a year before doing another series of hikes.

I remember Jay posting he had completed the 19th leg of the series back in November.

I want to remember that it was the second time he had done the series. The first time not completing all sections for one reason or another, I'm not sure.
As far as waiting a year, maybe so....

The Birmingham Adventure Group (formerly the Birmingham Hiking Meetup) will be having a memorial hike for Jay in October along section 13 of the Pinhoti.

The Pinhoti Challenge Series is continuing, usually on the 3rd Saturday of each
month except in the summer because of the heat and ticks. You can see the calendar for the Birmingham Adventurers Group online if you are interested. The Green Dragon, aka Jaybird, started a good adventure series!
