This will be an 8 mile day hike on the Pinhoti. We will be beginning at Coleman Lake Trailhead ending at County Road 55. (Rabbittown Road) This section is rated as easy to moderate. It has gently rolling hills & valleys w/streams & creeks. The Choccolocco Creek Watershed Lake is located along this section along with a trail shelter. Pack a lunch and plenty of fluids.
Meeting place; Piggly Wiggly in Anniston @ 17th street & Quintard Ave @ 8:00 am. Please contact Larry Warren at 256-835-0870.

I would encourage anyone who can to do this beautiful hike. You'll see the "Woodpecker Farm", Chipmunk Canyon and great views of Dugger Mountain. I'd love to go, but I'm stuck in Gadsden that weekend.  Sad
