I'm taking a small group from Borden Creek TH to Fall Creek Falls. We plan on using the official trail unless the water level makes us take West Borden.  What POI's are on this trail that are worth pointing out/finding?

Thanks!

You'll go through the tunnel/fat man squeeze thing toward the start, but beyond that, I don't know of any arborglyphs or POI's along this route.  In the spring, the wildflowers are nice here.  The water level shouldn't be a problem right now as far as crossing goes.  Your greater risk is seeing little, if any flow from Fall Creek Falls.

Thanks for the info.  I actually hiked it yesterday and the water IS low.  It will be the first time for several of the people so we'll have a good time either way...

I hiked Quillan/Thompson last weekend and the water is low enough at the rapids that you could cross on the rapids if you so desired.  Auburn Falls was a trickle.  Borden Creek is where I almost always take first time visitors to Sipsey.  The change in micro-climates is cool, and there's enough waterfalls, bluffs, and flowers to whet a wide array of appetites.  My two favorite sections along that trail are the tunnel and the bluffs immediately thereafter and the meadow like area around Cranal Creek.
