The yellows and reds are really showing up now.  All the waterfalls are dried up, the chiggers are doing their best to beat out the ticks as number 1 pest and the trails in the wilderness are still littered with storm damage so enjoy a ride on hwy 33 and Cranal Road for a beautiful display of color during the next few weeks.

The color will be gone before you know it.

"It is not enough to fight for the land; it is even more important to enjoy it while you can, while it is still there. So go out there and hunt and fish and mess around.  Ramble out yonder, explore the forests, encounter the grizz, climb the mountains, bag the peaks, run the rivers, breathe deep of that yet sweet and lucid air. Sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, that lovely, mysterious and awesome space.  I promise you this one sweet victory, over those deskbound people with their hearts in a safe deposit box and their eyes hypnotized by calculators. : you will outlive the bastards." I'd glad to hear this about the colors, they've changed a little here, but nothing substantial.  I'll be out there somewhere in the wilderness this weekend, I hope.

Maybe I'll break out the heavy duty bug spray and hit a trail or 2 this weekend.
