Has anybody else discovered instant mashed sweet potatoes ?  They are a good, quick, hot trail breakfast with Nido full fat dry milk, pecans and raisins. You can put it all in the same Ziploc and just pour the hot water in without getting a pot dirty.  Same method works for oatmeal except it's not as good to me with the instant oatmeal vs. using old fashioned oats that you keep in the pot cozy for 10 minutes.

Sweet potatoes are really good for you too.  I haven't seen the instant kind but I bake them and dehydrate them all the time.  I have a bag in my pack right now with some pecans and dried apples.   I like to add a granola mix after it hydrates and its like an apple crisp desert ... of course on the trail its just food and give me more of it.

The sweet potatoes were in a Betty Crocker box.

I've got some dehydrated too.  Adding the granola mix sounds good...great idea.

I have tried the Betty Crocker instant sweet taters.  I really love sweet potatoes but the instant ones weren't anything to write home about.
