2 quick questions for you guys---------------hows the water availability at the cheah/odem/chinnabee junction?  ---cave creek?    Also, at cheah state park, Ive heard that there is a trail that leads from the boardwalk/parking lot to the pinhoti trail, coming out near the blue mountain shelter-----------how long is this trail, and does cheah state park let you leave your car in the boardwalk parking lot overnight?  (or several nights?)  Thanks guys!

Water availibility at Cheaha, odom, Chinnabee might be a little iffy.
If none there, go down the Chinnabee  a couple hundred yards and you should
find water through a thick laurel growth and hear the stream before you see it on the right.

The Bald Rock trail comes into the Pinhoti about 300 yards north of the Blue Mtn. shelter.
I don't think they would mind if you left your car at the Parking lot. Ask at the store.
Some of the multi-section hikers leave their car at the stone parking lot behind the store.
It's probably safer there than any of the parking lots.

Good luck,

Don't know if there's water at the junction, but BlisterBob is correct about the alternate source downhill on the Chinnabee Trail. I've seen water there when the other sources were dry.

I think The Bald Rock Trail is only about a half mile long. I haven't walked it-just passed by it on the Pinhoti.

Stevebo;
The lady at the SP store told me no overnight parking at Bald Rock,
but it's OK to leave a car at the lot behind the store 1 or more nights
and I prefer to leave mine there rather than at the Pinhoti/ Cave Creek
lot overnight.
