Falling rock falls
«

First off I would like to say Hi. I've been doing day hikes for about the last 2 years. I live just north of Birmingham. I have a wife and two kids both girls (ages 8 and 5) they all love hiking. But long hikes dont work out for us (4 to 5 miles are about all they are good for). So any suggestions would be great.
I was thinking about hiking out to Falling rock falls the weekend with the family. I have never been there but I have been told that it is nice. My question is does anyone know where I can get good directions to the falls (where I need to park).
Thanks

Welcome aboard!
The only directions I know of are at:

Have you been up to Sipsey yet? Actually...where have you been? Might help folks give suggestions.

Thank you for the link. It was very helpful.
We have not been to Sipsey yet but are planing on going later this year. We have mainly stayed close to B'ham. We have done all of oak mt, moss rock in hoover, ruffner mt, and fossil mt. Thats all of the ones I can think of right now.

No Talladega NF, either?
You've got years of 4-5 hour hikes in Sipsey/Bankhead, and several more years in Talladega. Both are within a reasonable ride from Birmingham. Plenty of shorter hikes, too.
