Hey folks,

I noticed a small waterfall on a tributary just downstream of Kinlock Falls. I was unable to get a closer look because my dog was "done" hiking for the day, I was wet and cold, and was not wearing waterproof boots to cross the creek.

My question is, does that waterfall drop from inside a small rock ledge, or is that an arch that it is falling through? Either way, from several hundred feet away, the waterfall looked REALLY interested. Any information or photographs would thrill me. I'm going to try and get to it next weekend if it is still flowing.

I know that it is fairly non-seasonal, as it is even mentioned in Manasco's Walking Sipsey, so I assume somebody here has seen it. Manasco describes it as going through a rock chute. If I had noticed that paragraph in the little book before I got home, I probably would have ventured closer to check it out (carrying the darn dog if I had to), but I didn't.

Ah-ha! Proof of existence.

A group of Flickr photographers were out at Kinlock (left as I got there) and they noticed it too!

Still no look at the part I was curious about, but good to know I'm not the only one who found it strangely interesting.
