I don't know about you guys but as for me this weekend could not get here fast enough.

Les and I picked up some new packs this week. a Gegory z55 and for her a Jade 50. Not to toot my own horn here or anything but in the words of the immortal Ferris Bueller "I love driving it. It's so Choice. If you have the means, I do suggest picking one up".

I see from the calendar that Wild South has a cleanup project at Indian Tombs hollow this weekend. This would be a great feelgood project if any of you have been wondering if there is something you can do to give back to the community. I will also grant 20 Karma points to any body who goes.

If you are unfamiliar with the Karma system you will notice that out beside this post there a link that says "send some good karma" hitting that link send the poster of the message a karma point. Later on at AlaTrails we will be hosting events and will most likely use the karma system for at least some give aways and recognition for various things. So get out there and get some karma points cause beside just feeling good you might win some really cool stuff.

Have a great weekend everybody and remember that falling is the #1 killer of backpackers and hikers in the wild. So don't take any long walks off of any short trails to a cliff ok.

TGIF!  No real hiking this weekend.  We are doing a map/compass/gps weekend a Camp Horne with the Boy Scouts tomorrow and Sunday.  At least we will be outdoors!   Grin

We'll be at Sandrock tonight for a cool night of camping, then biking that awesome downhill tomorrow. Should be a blast!
