Does any one know the best way to hike/Bushwack to Clifty Creek Falls? I would love to start the hiking season off photographing some new waterfalls in the Sipsey Area and this one is first on the list.

Thanks

I see you posted over on Backpacker too....I have info there for you that should help, but I'm sure lots of these guys could offer information too.

Let us know what you find while you're out there!

Cwhiker,

I hope you get an answer. I haven't visited Clifty Creek Falls, so I don't have any directional assistance beyond what you can get from glancing at the maps and maybe glean from Alabama's Canyons.

Would like to know best way there myself. My bride saw Unclewaynes picture of the twin waterfalls and  told me we wanted to go there. Grin

Got some information this morning on the best way in. Looks like we park at Borden creek take 207 to the Jct of Clifty creek and Braziel creek N 34 19' 31" W 87 24' 13" Then just hike up Cliffty creek. sounds so easy ha ha. we know different I foresee two creek crossings and I lot of bushwhacking. Its going to be at least two weekends before I will be able to check it out due to mandatory overtime at work man this bites oh well got to pay for the new camera somehow

Your plans look pretty good to me. Check with the Sipsey One Page from Briartech to help out too. They actually have the coords. listed as 34 20.66 N & 87 26.09 W in the WGS84 datum.

Maybe that will help some.

Thank you I took the coords. from the Carto Craft I have. I marked the Jct with my GPS on Sunday just don't have it in front of me when I wrote the post
