I am very excited to announce that Alatrails is now an American Hiking Society alliance partner

What that means to us:

  • We are eligible to host National Trail Days events this June with cosponsorship by AHS
  • We are eligible for help via the volunteer vacations program at AHS to help with any trail maintenance programs we develop
  • All AlaTrails members are eligible for $5 bucks off membership to American Hiking Society with all of the benefits that provides
  • We get our name and a link to our site on the American Hiking Society Website

What this does not mean to AlaTrails:

  • We will not start charging dues- AlaTrails is free to all now and forever
  • No one at AHS is pulling the reins. AlaTrails makes choices based on the membership and no one else. We are an independent sovereign entity

Overall I am very excited about this alliance. I think it will do good things for our members and the whole of all Alabama Trail Systems. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me via PM or in this thread.
