CAHABA RIVER OVERNIGHT

The Cahaba River runs right in Birmingham's back yard and the shop is actually located on it.  Most people don't know how pretty the Cahaba River is.  It is actually an amazing place and it is surrounded by tons of wonderful scenery and tons of wildlife.  The stretch that we do starts at Alabama Small Boats and ends 20 miles down at a place called the slab.  Depending on the water level, we could add 5 miles to that by putting in at Buck Creek in Old Town Helena.

Their information obviously doesn't reflect it but the AL Small Boats shop in Helena on the river is no longer open.  They have combined operations with Mountain High Outfitters on Hwy. 280 in Mountain Brook.  They still rent boats but no longer offer shuttling services...just a heads up.
