Thanks for the heads up. I'll need to fish around and see if I have anything that fits in the category. Most of my GSMNP stuff isn't contest-worthy, and I don't have too many other photos from "Iconic Photo Locations" laying around. Wink

Grand prize isn't half bad. Canon 5D plus toys.

Quote
Photographs should be in keeping with the general theme of the Top 100 Iconic Photo Locations of the World, including, but not limited to, photos of historical locations, landscape and travel.

Thanks for the link CW. Interesting site. Good luck to all the Alatrails folks who choose to enter! As for me, it's WAY outa' my league. Without a "point-n-shoot" then hope for the best category I don't stand a chance.  Embarrassed

it looks to be a mix of both well known and lesser known some people uploaded some cityscapes. I need to find out why only one of the three I uploaded is showing up in the gallery with out the other two I can't tell the story.

Rob, you never know what can happen in a contest. I have seen point and shoot photos win over someone with $1,000 worth of equipment. its all about the composition and how the judge views it. and the worst that can happen is you not win. I didn't start out on top it has taken me many years of not winning and practice to get to were I am at today. Everyday I see things I can improve on. Win or lose you can always gain some insight on improving your skills.

I participate in the Outdoor Alabama contest, and that's definitely a fun one!
