Their website says they're in Wetumpka. And they've got their Big Agnes Air Core pads on sale. I ordered one 2 weeks ago and after shipping (full price UPS) and in-state sales tax my $35 pad was $44.  Sad

I'm about to get a price match from Altrec for another one unless ya'll have a better idea.

hey  flemdawg,

Do you know of a cheap summer bag that has a sleeve to slide the Big Agnes pad inside?  I bought a 20 degree  Big Agnes Zirkel with the pad, but don't want to spend that kinda money on a 40-50 degree cover.  Also, I wonder how much sweatier I'd be in 70 degree night sleeping when the air mattress was still insulated, vs. a cheaper uninsulated one? What uninsulated pad will fit and is as durable ? I loved the fact that I couldn't roll off the pad this winter !

These aren't exactly cheap. The problem is most bags with a pad sleeve or pad straps is they are only on "better" bags that are more expensive. So it's either hold your nose then pay out of it. Or sleep on top of your 20 deg bag. or roll off the pad. I'd prob choose B.

thanks for the tips flemdawg.

Maybe I should try the "old cheapo fix first". Thinking about gluing some velcro strips onto the pad and the old bag I bought from www.sportsmansgu ide.com years ago. Already have velcro and Gorilla glue on hand. Now if I can find a free weekend and a hiking buddy ?

Got Altrec to agree to a Price Match+ 10% diff (their policy, I'm NOT that smooth) free shipping and no tax. So for $33.64 I'm getting a really nice pad.
