1)I've been a member of AdventureCycling .org for 5 years. They are big promoters of overnight and long distance bike touring, and they print maps just for cyclists to use going cross country.

2) Sierra Club - I've been with Huntsville, Cahaba, and Montgomery chapters on day hikes, and went on a great national service trip in Feb. to Big Bend N.P. Also cycled the Natchez Trace with the Huntsville group before I was even a member.  Have not yet donated any money or mailed my congressman about saving the polar bears, although they sure have doubled my junk mail asking about such !  They give my name out to dozens of other liberal causes that send me stuff now.  The Alabama Sierra people on the ground make it all worth it IMO.

3)AHTS - I still have not been to their annual meeting, and don't think I've been on more than one hike, and I'm not real sure if it was posted by AHTS or not. That was with Mike Kennedy and Rick Guhse in Tuskegee N.F.

You should come to next years meeting. They have been getting better and better every year. We have many great people.

I think none, although I might have something floating around somewhere that I'm forgetting.

I like to keep life simple.  Wink

I'm a member of WildSouth, SierraClub, fall in and out of Nature's Wanderers, paid dues to Cullman Bike club, but haven't made a ride.  Want to join a canoe or kayaking club, but haven't yet.
