I have been looking around and have decided I want to investigate the idea of a touring yak. I am looking for both Lesley and I and would like any advice you guys have to offer.

Just depends on what you're lookin for Bro, www.boatertalk.c om would be my suggestion if you're serious anything by Old Town would probly be the best either a Loon or an Otter

These start out pretty inexpensive..... I bought two last year and have floated the Cahaba from Leeds through Helena, the Little Cahaba in Montevallo, a run on the Little Mulberry Fork....and miles and miles in the ocean. They are very sturdy and can handle a beating. I bought the two I have for $229 a piece....so it really doesn't matter that much if I screw them up. I thought I would be into a new boat by now, but I'm still enjoying these....
