Absolutely. Nothing wrong with a little redneck fun in the summer  laugh
I figure some of the best require you to hike in which prevents most of the beer drinking severely annoying types from showing up.

Fire away.

Well, I don't advocate swimming above or below waterfalls, so while I know of a few great waterfall pools, I'll suggest a tamer option.

The Thompson Blue Hole is reputed to be a pretty decent swimming hole in Sipsey. I think Alabama's Canyons has directions.

I really nice one I went to was called Blue Springs. It's in the Conecuh National Forest not to far from Open Pond. It is a small spring but the water is clear and cool.

We used to swim in what was called "Blue Hole", in Glencoe, AL.  Was an abandoned gravel pit and I think its closed to the public now, although it was back then too.

When you jumped in this clear blue swimming pool like water, you best know how to swim.  It was like... a few inches deep...then....  straight down to like 90ft deep.

I learned to scuba dive in this place. There were old bulldozer's, cranes, buildings, tunnels, all way down in the bottom.

That was like 40 years ago.... gawd I'm old....
