The movie, The Bucket List and the shows about things you have to do before you die, got me wondering:

What's you lifelong Hiking goal?

Mine:
Thru-hike the AT
Visit every National Park (I mean major national parks whose title is "National Park", Ive done 6 so far (gotta get out-west more))

I would die for the chance to thru hike any of the 3 long trails(PCT, CDT, or AT) but I doubt it will ever happen. I should have done it in my college years if I was going to. A job, mortgage, and a wife are the main obstacles now. However I have revised my ambitions and hope to thru hike the Pinhoti this winter. It's something anyway. I may also eventually complete a section hike of the complete AT. I will have to start going more than once a year though.

I would love to thru hike the AT but like most everyone else It just isn't possible right now because of the work thing, however I am on the 20 year plan to section hike it Smiley Maybe one day if my health holds up I am planning on doing a thru when I retire.I have met lot's of retired folks attempting thru's on some of my section hikes.
