Mountain High Outfitters is teaming up with The Cahaba River Society and The Nature Conservancy to offer a FREE canoe trip down the Little Cahaba River from one Nature Conservancy Preserve to the next, Bibb County Glades to Pratt's Ferry. Paul Freeman, a Nature Conservancy freshwater ecologist, will show species of plants & animals unique to the areas, some found nowhere else in the world. The Cahaba River Society is providing the trailer, canoes, PFDs, paddle and guide for this trip. They regularly host trips down the Cahaba River for schools and organizations, showing the beauty and amazing biodiversity of the river. This is a beginner trip, with easy Class I rapids. This trip is currently full, but stat tuned for more opportunities this summer.
