This guy has posted SEVERAL good maps on this page.  The 16 page Sipsey map is the most accurate trail map of the Sipsey I have found to date.

I'll second the recommendation for the Sipsey map. I wouldn't try to hike backcountry with it, unless you got a copy laminated, but it is a great supplement to the Cart-o-craft map, which basically lists nothing inside Sipsey.


On a side note, Mark Kolinski (of Wild South) has been mapping Bankhead's canyons for a while now. We should eventually benefit from that through better maps, and hopefully, better protection for the canyon areas in Bankhead. I'm waiting with great interest in how many waterfalls these unmapped canyons hold. That's why I place my estimate of Alabama's falls at least 100 falls higher than the 100 or so I know about. That's a lot of unexplored canyon space...
