I recently quit smoking and have a frightening amount of energy. So I dug the bike out today and serviced it.  Anyone have some newb trails around irondale?

Thanks in advance.

I hear Oak Mountain SP has some of the best Mtn. Bike trails in the state.

A really good start would be Trussville Sports Complex. There is a loop around the park that's less than 5 miles and has everything you need to sharpen your skills and have fun doing so. The loop can dump out to the main road back to parking at nearly any point on the trail.

This should help:

Thanks for the suggestion.  I know the place, I drove the drivers ed car off a small cliff when they were still constructing it attempting a 3 point turn.

Nice. Hopefully you will have more grace on the bicycle. I've found the best loop out there is to park at the bottom/front of the park...across the street there is a trailhead. Follow it and keep right. That will put you on the loop and run it counterclockwise . I'll probably be out there tomorrow if you want to tag along.
