Well i was cleaning out the shed in our backyard last week and found an old polyvinyl pool cover for a blowup pool we no longer have. It seems pretty lightweight so I going to make a pack cover out of it. All I need to do is trim the plastic to fit my pack. Then sew a hem around the outside, then run a peice of elastic thru it. Sounds pretty simple right?

Does anyone know what kind of thread I need to use in my DW's sewing machine to stitch a hem around the outside?

That's a good question. Penny over at specialty outdoors may be able to help.
