Its been getting a lil' overheated on practically every discussion the last couple of weeks (it wasn't me, I swear). I guess the mods just decided to everyone in "time out".

Well I guess there is a lesson to be learned from that for all of us. I am glad we all get along pretty well despite our differences. I mean, Flemdawg and Jaybird are about the most heated debate around and I imagine they would get along face to face.

I was a member of WhiteBlaze for a while before finding this forum but I do not frequent it anymore. No offense to them but a lot of the members over there just make posts to insult people. It is not constructive and discourages people from offering their thoughts for fear of ridicule. Very few ideas are perfect but a combination of all ideas can lead to a perfect solution.

Thanks for the comments about us woody. I would not give up on them yet though. I am sure Sgt. Rock will get things under control before long.
For the AT, whiteblaze is about the best resource on the internet.

I went over to WB and checked out their new "Rules". That is great!!! Hahaha!!! I first jumped over there when Trailplace was discontinued to check it out. When I did I found posts ridiculing former members of Trailplace and one of them was "The Rockster". They always criticized how regulated Trailplace was and how Wingfoot was a Nazi ruler. Seems they may be changing their tune. I think they are reaping what they have sewn.  Cool

It's a fine line to walk. I can tell you trying to please everyone is really tough. I try to keep a middle ground to not ruffle too many feathers but sometimes lines just have to be drawn. Here are some things I can promise you though.

I will never intentionally hurt anybodies feelings. If I have to moderate your conversation it is only because if the situation were reversed I know you would expect the same.

I will never try to take something away from you permissions or otherwise unless it is the best interest of both you and the forum. I am not power hungry nor do I want to be powerful. If I have to do anything like that it is me trying to look out for you and is usually prompted by a consensus of the membership.

I will never censor you unless what you say may end up physically hurting you or others or is abusive in nature. Swearing is censored automatically to make the board more family friendly but each user can turn this off in their profile.
