5 Rivers Delta Resource Center

Any of you guys/gals been here yet???  I'm interested in taking a group either in August or in Fall some time.

Its and elaborate building with some exhibits. Has a canoe/kayak launch for cruising around the upper bay. Looks more like an educational center for school kids.

Ive only been once and never put in my canoe there, there are better access sites to the more scenic parts of the delat IMO.

That's true. It has a great place to put in a canoe. But they did not think about the fact you don't step into a kayack. You can get in but you put in from the middle of the long grass. It's a nice place for sure. But for the delta area, even the bay area there are places to put in closer to some other parts of the delta. The Mobile canoe and kayack club meets there every month.

Went by today. The Canoe and Kayack center is open Wednesday thru Sunday. Closed on Monday and Tuesday. 'Yacks were everywhere today. I'm hoping to get mine out tomorrow if it's pretty. I hope so. Spent most of the summer working.
