Ride or Die

« on: August 01, 2008, 01:53:53 PM »

Sup guys, Michael here from Prattville. I'll be 28 on the 26th. I have been riding bikes forever. BMX, Freestyle, MTB, Unicycle, you name it, I can do it. I don't have a road bike, though.

I've ridden Swayback, BUMP (17m loop), Chewacala in Auburn, and all around Montgomery and Prattville.

Mainly just introducing myself and seeing if any other biking enthusiasts live around me.

Hi Mikee and welcome to AlaTrails... from another Prattvillian! Cool

I have ridden TOLA-Swayback Bridge and hiked it too.  Enjoyable trails.  -- Otherwise most of my riding is on road or rail-trails.  Don't get on my bike as much as I used to.  Time is at a premium most days.

Honestly, hiking is my favorite outdoor activity.  Mountain bike would be in a contest with kayaking for second -- kayaking would probably have the edge during the summer!

Hope you enjoy the Forum.  I believe you'll find some great folks, exchange of ideas, and new places to explore.

I have introduced my g/f of 3 years to mountain biking and I think she's starting to like it. We rode 3.5 miles of Swayback today. That's all she could ride, she's not used to it. Plus this humidity & heat is a killer...

Amen to the heat and humidity... Swayback in August is probably an early morning or very late afternoon ride only!   Tongue
