Hey Guys,
Just wanted to take a second to introduce myself. I have been reading on this forum a bit for 2 weeks now and wanted to get in on the conversation.
Anyhow a quick bit about me. I've lived in Bham for about 4 years now. I've done a fair amount of backpacking in my days. I've climbed two 14'rs (one in colorado, and Mt. Shasta in CA) and I've backpacked a signficant portion of the Smoky Mountains(mostly in TN).
This seems like a great group and I'm excited about joining!
I couldn't find an "introduction" forum, so if this needs to be relocated let me know!

Welcome to everyone! I'm so glad to see so many new faces to Alatrails. I'm really looking forward to some new perspectives and can't wait to see what yall have discovered locally that I haven't.

Hi! I was also looking for an introduction place, too. I am also new, I have left a post about the CCC Trail, if anyone could go and read it. My name is Zeiva, I lived in Alabama for 20 years and have hiked a lot of trails starting in my early teens. I have had to slow down a bit though, due to a nerve disease in my legs and spine, but I will NOT let it dampen my spirits to find easier trails to hike, and take pictures of. It may slow my book down, but I have a lot of information and pictures already. Anyway I think this is a great site and look forward to meeting everyone here.

Welcome on board vampyrgirl/Zeiva! We've had a few members with long-term injuries, so folks around here should be able to hook you up with some easier trails.
What kind of book are you working on?

Hi everyone.
Thought I'd introduce myself to the forum. Lurked for a few days and looks like a great site.
Just retuning to backpacking after many years away. Have been dayhiking for a while though so
not completely out of practice. Hope to meet you on the trail somewhere.

Welcome, and fret not! Dayhiking is backpacking's little sister, you will be well into the swing of things in no time
