Adobe Photoshop Lightroom

 Is, any one using the new version of  Adobe Photoshop Lightroom ? I am still using version 1,  but looking at the new features I think I will be upgrading soon. There is an story about it in outdoor photographer outdoor photographer

I've used Lightroom, but it drove me nuts because it was so SLOW on a system where DPP worked just fine. Even though DPP is less intuitive, I'm sticking with it even with my new system, because I'd like to be able to move my mouse in under 5 seconds. Your article tempted me for a second, but as a Canon shooter, I've got a free solution, so for now, I'll suffer with a reduced feature set.

I have heard good things from people who use it on Photo.net, so it must be an improvement on v1. I don't like the interface color scheme, but it is still loads better than DPP in interface design.

 Oh trust me my computer has fits when I am running lightroom and Photoshop at the same time.  I used to use the Canon software but was never happy with it. I mainly use Lightroom to sort, add information and do minor adjustments. The two things I like the best are being able to add the met data files to all the photos at once keeping me from having to type the same information over and over and the abllty to take the photos from lightroom to photoshop CS3 with the minor adjustments intact this saves me a lot of time. I am finding that I am even using it more with my Real Estate photography to make slight adjustments to the stills.

The one thing I did find was that the default Lightroom color space and the color space I use in Photoshop were different but once I changed lightroom to match I had no more problems.

Yeah, DPP is a pain to do a lot of batch processing. It can do it just fine in the most recent versions, but the interface is lousy, so it takes extra work. Since I don't use Photoshop DPP works for me, but I can see why somebody who does use Photoshop would choose Lightroom, because the integration is almost seamless in v1, and I think it is even better in the new version.

Man oh man I just downloaded the fully functioning trial of lightroom 2. I am already in love with the new graduated Filter and the Adjustment brush

How are you coming along with lightroom. I have used it for a couple of years and love it I can edit very quickly with LR I also run 8gig of ram on 64 bit so I dont have any issues with my computer slowing down.
