Hey folks,

After a few years of not seeing them, I FINALLY saw a crudload of Honeybees! On top of the Shawangunk Mountains, at Sam's Point Preserve (TNC), there were Honeybees EVERYWHERE on the purple thistle-like flowers. Every plant had one or two bees, and they were buzzing around all over the mile or two of trail we covered in visting the ice caves.

I have not seen many honeybees this year - and that is a little scary.  Sad

Thankfully, I have seen our native bumblebees out and about - busy carrying pollen from flower to flower!

Yep quite a few at church on the crepe myrtles (I'm guessing the plant of course).

And some on the zinnias and sunflowers in the backyard.
