I'm in Clear Lake, Ia to more exact. Now that the summer is dying down and I had several hiking trips on the books, my office decided they wanted to send me to Iowa to aid with the disaster relief from the May 25 tornados and flooding that went through the area.

So folks, I hope you all are having fun without me, and keeping the trails worn down Smiley All I know is that my minimum stay up here is 90 days and the usual is 120days. I'll know more about it as the time approaches though. Should be interesting.

Not to rub it in or anything, but our weather has been in the mid 80's, clear skies, 40-50% humidity, and a daily breeze. Couldn't beat it w/ a stick if I had to! However, I've been told the first winter freeze is expected at the end of September, so I'll start getting miserable by then, while you all are basting in warm temps...

Hopefully, I'll know more and will definitely look forward to some trails when I get back. By the way, I have my heart set on some Sipsey around January if anyone's interested.

Ya'll take care! Smiley

Flem, don't think so. Not here.

There's a little state park that borders the lake and their specialty is renting boats. I'm still looking, but from what I've found, it's corn, soybeans and tractor equipment...
