Hey folks,
I'll be your best friend if you can find me contact information for Jim Manasco, author of Walking Sipsey.
The book Walking Sipsey is labelled as "this book is not copyrighted and may be used for any educational purpose" but I'd like to make sure it would be okay to scan and post the book on Alatrails.com, before I even think about doing so.
NOTE: Please PM me any contact information not already floating around in this thread.

Cuffs & Matthew,
Actually, I personally think we should edit out Mr. Seifreid's phone number, even though it may be a matter of public record. It is already on the internet, and on Alatrails somewhere, but I don't want the telemarketer search bots to call him extra because of us.
I'll x out the last 2 digits.
The Manasco address is in the book, and isn't a home address, so that should be fine.
I wasn't thinking, and should have had responses go to PM. My fault.
Thanks for your help. I'm going to write him when I get a chance.

Cuffs,
I know, but thanks for redacting it fully. Phone number and e-mail address bots LOVE forum posts for data mining. It is already out there, but the more the bots find it, the more likely they are to call it.
If anybody needs his number he has listed it on his website:

Okay... Letters in outbound mail pile. I sent one to the Indian Education Program and another to an address that fits the bill for his home address, since it is near clear creek, appears to be a cabin, and has his name as the owner, and I can draw conclusions based on the description of where he and his wife live in the book, or at least where they would have been in 1992.
I'll keep you posted.
