The Swiss Gear Hiker Tent I got for Father's Day is on clearance for $31.41!! I've used it and it's a great tent.

Those reviews are possibly for the previous version the Hiker tent, it was a single wall.

I was wondering if I would ever find my tent anywhere!!! I found it on ebay for like 15$ brand new in factory box. I have only had a chance to use it once but it is very light and you can make it even lighter by wrapping your poles in the tent (there are not really any sharp ends to tear the fabric). The only thing I don't like about this tent is the extra/fly area can not be completly sealed/no zipper on bottom. Does well in the rain just make sure the outter fly is completly out and zipped otherwise water can puddle in the entrence (not the sleeping area). If it rains heavily tho, make sure there is no where around the tent where water can puddle. I found that because the bottom goes 1/2 way up the side, there is a little fabric that sags and can collect water... to prevent it, just go on the inside and tuck the sides under so that the loose fabric is folded under the tent. Not very good ventalation for hot months but will be great for the winter. Can't wait to get to use it on the trail!!!
