Traihead Directions:

From Talladega:

Take Cheaha Rd. over the Camp Mac Lake dam crossing, past Camp Mac. Turn right onto Bass Lane. Pass houses, and as the road heads downhill towards a bridge, the "trailhead" is located just before the bridge on your left. Look for the gravel, and you'll find it. There is an empty driveway to your right, a 9-ton wood bridge in front of you, and a NF boundary sign on the left (upstream) side of the bridge. The trail starts near the parking spot, and is well-worn. This may not be a valid parking spot. (?)

From the parking spot, head down the trail, moving in the upstream direction with the stream on your right. In a short amount of time you will encounter a log bridge across the stream, confirming you are on the right trail. You'll cross the stream a few more times, but the trail is easy to follow and pretty level. You'll approach the falls from the right in a wide amphitheatre.

The trail is a Trout Lily hotspot in the spring.

TEMPORARY NOTE: My analysis of the map an the boundary sign indicates that this waterfall and the trail are within NF boundaries. I have not confirmed this with Talladega NF, so use your own judgment.
